After opening for Delhi, young Prithvi Shaw struck a smooth fifty as part of a 94-run stand with Shikhar Dhawan to lay the foundation for a solid 175-3 score against Chennai in the seventh match of the 2020 Indian Premier League season.
Before having his stint ended courtesy of a run-out by Chennai's ever-wily MS Dhoni, the 20-year-old, playing at a steady pace, made 64 off 43 balls, laced with an incredible nine boundaries and a six.
The popular youngster's knock found support as the reactions started rolling in, and we rounded up some of the best reactions, starting with none other than this reaction from the competition itself. Now that's high praise indeed!
He came.

The intent to dominate. The courage to take risks. And the confidence and skills to execute ambitious plans. Prithvi Shaw is a special player.

Now this is the Prithvi Shaw we want to see. Waiting for the ball to hit rather than going after everything and being unfair to himself. This is a top innings so far
